Melissa began her career as a management consultant to Fortune 500 companies, building a foundation in business strategy and organizational thinking that would shape everything that followed. She went on to work in performance management at a tech startup, helping managers lead more effectively through clearer communication: setting expectations, making resources visible, and building the habits that make teams work.
In 2001, she co-founded a communications coaching firm at a time when the field barely had a name. Over the next 25 years, she developed and evolved the firm's services as the media landscape shifted and executive communication coaching grew into the discipline it is today.
After more than two decades of that work, Melissa founded Certainty Communications with one goal: to help people show up to their most important moments fully prepared to own them.
Her approach is grounded in proven communication fundamentals and informed by current research, including studies that decode what makes a speaker truly land with an audience. Research confirms what great coaches have always known: audiences pick up on far more than words.
